Products with Closed Projections

چکیده
Introduction. In this paper we study pairs (X, Y) of topological spaces which have the property that one or both of the projections from Xx Y is closed (maps closed sets to closed sets) or z-closed (maps zero sets to closed sets). These conditions on projections arise naturally from considerations involving the exponential map on function spaces ; in § 1 we make explicit their relationship to the exponential map by proving several "exponential laws." As applications of one of these, we give conditions necessary and sufficient that a product, or semiuniform product, of two fine spaces be fine. The second and third sections are devoted to a study of conditions under which projections will be closed or z-closed. The results of the third section, together with the characterization of fine products in the first section, give a new, and entirely topological, proof of Isbell's characterization of (finite) fine products, Theorems 32, 33, and 35 in Chapter VII of [6]. They also give a new characterization of the C*-pairs defined in [2]. I would like to thank A. W. Hager and W. W. Comfort for several helpful discussions concerning the results in this paper.

Products Of EP Operators On Hilbert C*-Modules
In this paper, the special attention is given to the product of two modular operators, and when at least one of them is EP, some interesting results is made, so the equivalent conditions are presented that imply the product of operators is EP. Also, some conditions are provided, for which the reverse order law is hold. Furthermore, it is proved that $P(RPQ)$ is idempotent, if $RPQ$†</...
متن کاملImpact of government’s policies on competition of two closed-loop and regular supply chains
With progressing technologies and new features of production, new products compete with older ones in markets. Indeed, new products initiate contest with olden ones and this process repeats in different productions lifetime several times. In this situation recycling the olden products seems to be significant for supply chains. Governments often levy special tariffs for these products as a contr...
متن کاملDo Projections Stay Close Together?
We estimate the rate of convergence of products of projections on lines in R. Consider the orbit of a point under any sequence of orthogonal projections on K lines in R. Assume that the sum of the squares of the distances of the consecutive iterates is less than ε. We show that if ε tends to zero, then the diameter of the orbit tends to zero uniformly for all families L of a fixed number K of l...
متن کاملDeterministic and Metaheuristic Solutions for Closed-loop Supply Chains with Continuous Price Decrease
In a global economy, an efficient supply chain as a main core competency empowers enterprises to provide products or services at the right time in the right quantity, at a low cost. This paper is to plan a single product, multi-echelon, multi-period closed loop supply chain for high-tech products (which have continuous price decrease). Ultimately, considering components rated to procurement, pr...

One of the strategic decisions that can be made in supply chain is designing its network which has high impact on costs, and satisfaction level of customers. This paper focuses on designing a distribution network including determining the number and location of facilities, how to allocate the customers in network, and also determining the extent of carrying different products from different ori...
